Terms and Conditions of Workshop Bookings

  1. These terms and conditions are applicable to all workshops, photography tours and private tutorials (here referred to as “workshops”, “booking”), regardless of payment amount.
  2. These terms and conditions form part of the contract between us (“our”, “Frances Suter Photography”, K & F A P SUTER, “us”, “we”) and you (“participant”, “customer”, “client”, “you”, “your”) and govern the consideration of any disagreement should they arise.
  3. By booking a workshop with us, you acknowledge and agree to be bound to these terms and conditions.

Booking and Payment:

  1. By booking a workshop, you are confirming that you have read and understood the associated workshop description, physical requirements and age requirements.
  2. Workshop booking fees must be paid in full to confirm your place in a workshop.
  3. We are not responsible for your personal costs incurred as a result of booking a workshop including, but not limited to travel, car rental, insurance, photographic purchases and/or rentals.

Workshop Numbers:

  1. Workshops are designed to hold a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 8 participants.
  2. Workshops may also deliver a private, 1 on 1 experience with one participant and one instructor. Private workshops must be agreed upon prior to booking on the workshop description page.
  3. We reserve the right to alter the number of participants, or the number of instructors, on any workshop to ensure the best possible photographic experience for all participants.

Fitness and Suitability

  1. Workshops are designed for suitable participants who are physically fit in that they are able to walk, stand and carry photography equipment for 4 to 5 hours per day continuously.
  2. Each participant is required to carry their own equipment during a workshop.
  3. By booking a workshop, you are confirming that you are over the age of 18.
  4. It is possible for a booking to be made for a person under the age of 18, however this must be done with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Cancellation

  1. Cancellations by you prior to seven (7) days before the workshop date will be refunded less any transaction or booking fees, including fees charged by online booking systems.
  2. No refund will be provided within seven (7) days of the workshop date.
  3. We reserve the right to cancel any workshop due to circumstances beyond our control. In the event of our cancellation of a workshop, liability shall be limited to the total value of the workshop fee only.

Rescheduling:

  1. It may be possible to reschedule you into a different workshop time provided we are given at least seven (7) days notice of your intention to reschedule.
  2. In all cases of rescheduling, a successful reschedule will be based on the availability of our workshop times.

Limit of Liability:

  1. We do not accept any liability for illness, injury or death or for the loss, theft, damage or destruction to photographic equipment or personal belongings during any workshop or in transit to or from a workshop.
  2. We do not accept any liability for loss or additional expenses incurred to you as a result of changes or delays in our services.
  3. Due to the varying nature of weather, nature, locations, access and human activity, we cannot guarantee any particular photographic outcome from a workshop.

Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances

  1. On occasion, weather and other factors outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to progress with a workshop as outlined in a workshop description page. Under such circumstances, proceeding with a workshop cannot be guaranteed.

Legal Jurisdiction and Acceptance

  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
  2. By making a booking with us, you agree to accept, and abide by, these terms and conditions without exception.
