Welcome to “Brisbane Beginner Photography Workshop”, an introductory course designed for beginners who want to explore the fascinating world of photography.

Join Frances Suter, an internationally awarded master photographer and educator, at our Beginner Photography workshop and connect with your camera while upgrading your photography skills.

Mastering the art of photography begins with understanding basic camera operations.

Our small class size of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 students ensures that each participant receives the individual time and guidance they need to excel.

This hands-on workshop is ideal for new or future DSLR or mirrorless camera owners, as well as those who are returning to photography.

As part of our ‘Introduction to Photography’ workshop, you will learn to use your camera in manual mode to develop a better understanding of shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance.

Embrace the learning process, and watch as your camera becomes an extension of your artistic vision.

  • Metering Modes and How to Use Them
  • Autofocus, Autofocus Modes and manual Focus
  • How ISO and White Balance affect image quality and colour

Frances 

  • Studio Owner and Internationally Awarded Master Photographer
  • Over 20 years of experience photographing Landscapes and People internationally and locally
  • Frances brings a depth of experience and international flavour to her boutique photography experience.
  • Frances’ expertise in Landscape & Portrait photography led her to teach at a Brisbane photography college for a number of years. She has also conducted a number of photography workshops and has attracted international attention resulting in a photographic magazine editorial.

Our Brisbane Beginner Photography Workshop is an introductory course designed for beginners and those wanting to learn more about their camera settings.

You will learn to use your camera in manual mode to develop a better understanding of shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance.

Yes, you will be required to bring your own camera and equipment.

Absolutely, all you have to do is purchase a ticket and email us at info@francessuter.com.au to confirm the details of the person attending the workshop.

Children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. All workshop attendees will require their own tickets.

As much as we love dogs, we ask that you leave your furry friends at home for the safety and comfort of all participants.

It will also be much easier for you to focus throughout the workshop without your pet.
